HUNDREDS of trick-or-treaters are expected to descend on intu Merry Hill this Halloween to enjoy a series of spooky events.

The Brierley Hill shopping centre is on a mission to make this half-term ‘fangtastic’ and will kick things off with a wicked witches’ workshop today (Saturday).

A petrifying potion class will be held tomorrow (Sunday), followed by a mummy-making workshop on Monday.

Children can take part in some creepy crafts on Tuesday and a smashing pumpkin workshop on Wednesday.

The ‘spooktacular’ fun will come to an end with a big trick or treat on Sunday, October 30, where more than 20 of the centre's top retailers and restaurants, will display large pumpkin stickers in their windows to show they are taking part.

Special treat buckets will also be available for trick-or-treaters to collect from the centre’s customer service desks.

Dan Murphy, the shopping centre’s general manager, said: “We know that it can be difficult to keep children entertained during half-term and many parents will also be looking to stay out of the cold and wet when it comes to trick or treating with their children.

“That’s why we’re looking forward to putting smiles on the faces of hundreds of mini witches and warlocks this half-term.”

All activities are free, with no booking required.

They are open to all ages, but are particularly suitable for children in pre-school and early years.
