PARAMEDICS from Dudley have been celebrated for the 'outstanding work' they do with university students.
The University of Worcester recently held its annual Mentor Awards in collaboration with its NHS practice partners, to recognise those who build successful mentoring relationships with students.
Dudley paramedic Jon Ostrowski won the Outstanding Mentor award for the Black Country Ambulance Locality, while the Dudley Hub of West Midlands Ambulance Service won an Outstanding Practice Learning Environment award.
“I have been very lucky in that the students I have been allocated have been very keen and extremely capable," Mr Ostrowski said.
"They have been a joy to work with and I know they will go on to become very competent paramedics."
Mark Chapman, area manager for the Dudley Hub, added: “The award recognises the work put in by every member of staff at Dudley Hub to support all our students, for which I am extremely proud of my staff.”
