THE Mayor of Dudley will be kicking off the fundraising at a charity football event later on this month.

Councillor Mohammed Hanif will don his football boots and join in with the action as Dudley Town FC take on Wolves All-Stars on Sunday, November 27.

Kick off is at 2.30pm at The Dell Stadium in Bryce Road, Brierley Hill.

Tickets cost £5 for adults and £3 concessions for children under 16 and older people and can be booked by calling Steve Edwards on 07858876649 or visiting The Black Country T-Shirt Shop in Castle Street, Dudley or Pure Gym, Brierley Hill.

Children under 10 go free.

Proceeds from the day will be split between the Mayor’s nominated charities - Diabetes UK Dudley Group, Dudley CIL and Friends of Alfie Johnson - and Dudley Town’s own nominated charity, The Black Country Fibromyalgia Support Group.

Cllr Hanif, said: “I would like to thank Dudley Town Football Club for organising this match. It is very much appreciated and I hope we can raise lots of money for such worthy causes.

“It is very much going to be a family day out so I would encourage people to come along and have a great afternoon of entertainment.”

Refreshments will be available and there will also be a raffle.
