A STOURPORT author who sent her married lover's wife extracts from an erotic novel based on their affair has avoided jail.

Jackie Preuss, of Anchor Drive, also bombarded her victim with phone calls, sent photos of herself in stockings and published Facebook statuses detailing the liaison over a year-long campaign of harassment.

TWO people were taken to hospital following a suspected arson attack at a vacant house in Brierley Hill.

Emergency services were called to the scene in Wells Road at 8.30am on Sunday morning (January 15). Fire crews from Brierley Hill, Stourbridge and Haden Cross tackled the blaze and evacuated residents living nearby.

COUNTY councillors have voted to band together and "fight" Cross Country over controversial proposals to axe four long-distance trains servicing the town’s station.

The train operator plans to cut services from Bromsgrove to Cardiff, Nottingham and Stansted, but campaigners say the move will undo improvements at the £24m site.

AMBLECOTE councillors will be applying for £6,000 of community funding to try and stop travellers blighting popular football pitches in the area.
