A CHARITY with a thriving tandem club is looking for volunteers.

The Beacon Centre launched the club last year to help people living with sight loss to try cycling.

But the club, which meets every other Tuesday, has proved so popular the charity is now desperately short of experienced and confident cyclists to act as front riders.

The Sedgley charity's enablement and employment officer, Tim Jukes, said: “We are looking for experienced and confident cyclists to act as front riders on our tandems.

"It’s a great group and all our members are very sociable and friendly.”

Potential volunteers do not need previous tandem experience but would need to be able to undertake visual awareness training if needed.
