A DUDLEY firm’s has handed over £50,000 to charity, which it raised at its 50th anniversary bash.

Sir Lenny Henry was the guest of honour at last month’s celebratory event marking the The Alan Nuttall Partnership’s milestone.

The interior fit-out and display firm, which has its largest site in Hall Street, raised the cash, which has been split between Cancer Research UK and the Alzheimer’s Society, through table sales, an auction and a raffle.

Alan Nuttall, company chairman, said: “The evening not only gave us the fantastic chance to celebrate our first 50 years with many of the local and national suppliers Nuttall’s has worked with over the years, but also the opportunity to raise invaluable funds for charities that are close to my heart.

“We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported what was an amazing evening. Raising £50,000 is an outstanding and fitting result, going a long way to help our chosen charities continue their great work with people who need it most.”

Dudley born comedian and actor, Sir Lenny, was the after-dinner speaker and proved to be a resounding success with the 300 guests at the celebration, who also enjoyed a three-course meal and evening of entertainment.
