A COUPLE from Halesowen have won a free wedding at Dudley's Priory Hall.

Billie Pell, who is currently studying towards an animal behaviour degree, and her husband-to-be David Crampton, a team leader at Argos, will tie the knot in August in the Priory Suite at the Dudley Council venue.

The couple have been together for 10 years and have a three-year-old daughter.

They were one of scores of couples to enter a free prize draw at an open day held at the venue on Saturday (March 18), and were announced as the winners live on Facebook at 3pm.

Billie said: “We were absolutely delighted – we’ve never won anything as a couple before.

“The open day was well worth going to, there was so much information, help and support to help plan the big day. It was nice to see so many people there too.”

Dudley registrars hosted the wedding show bonanza, which included the chance to take a look around the Grade-II listed hall and a bridal fashion show with gowns available from ‘I do 2 Bridal Boutique’ in Stourbridge.

Hundreds of people attended the event, which provided couples with the perfect chance to view the venue and its surroundings in Priory Park, which features the old Priory ruins and is overlooked by Dudley Castle.
