DUDLEY'S Action Heart charity hopes to pull in around £15,000 after a host of supporters completed the London Marathon yesterday (Sunday April 23).
The cardiac rehabilitation charity, based at Russells Hall Hospital in Dudley, had ten runners take on the gruelling 26-mile road race - all of whom crossed the finish line successfully.
Jane Pugh and Iain Wheatley, from Action Heart Running Club, Deborah Rochelle from Dudley Kingswinford Running Club, Karen James and Jenny Woodhouse were among the team of runners from the Dudley area.
Joy Brown, from Action Heart, said: "We had a weekend down in London. All of our runners successfully and safely crossed the finish line and are I am sure were wearing their medals with pride today.
"Each of the runners raised sponsorship for Action Heart and we are hopeful of raising somewhere in the region of £15,000."
