Well we have made it to Friday and it is a Bank Holiday weekend.

The weather has changed its mind today more often than Doubting Thomas playing game of poker. But what will it be like over the weekend?

Well sadly the bermuda shorts and bikinis will have to stay in the bottom draw because it certainly will not be a scorcher.

However, it will not be as cold as the recent unseasonably cold snap, so if you remember to take out a jacket you should be fine.

But as it is Friday evening, the big question is will the dinner be in the dog or still piping hot by the time you get home.

Thankfully, the trains seem to be running smoothly as is the Midlands Metro.

As for the motorways, well, and we do not want to jinx this, but for the first time since we started bringing you the travel and weather on Friday evenings, there has not been a crash or hold up on the M5.

The roadworks on the Oldbury viaduct are obviously taking their toll but motorists will have got used to that since their implimentation last Tuesday.

You read that right, the M5 is running smooth on a Friday evening. Even the ugly sisters of the Black Country road network - Birchley and Burnt Tree Islands - are handling the Band Holiday holiday bound traffic.

However, if your travels are taking you near the M42 in Solihull beware of serious delays.

The Hagley Road, Quinton, is experiencing heavy traffic as is the Dudley Road in Halesowen.

Manor Way in Halesowen is now running smoothing after a snarl up this afternoon.
