HOSPITAL bosses were this morning advising patients to attend clinics and appointments as usual as they stressed The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust was not among trusts hit by the NHS cyber attack.

Operations and appointments at 45 hospital trusts across the country were cancelled as a result of the attack which crippled computer systems.

A spokesman for The Dudley Group said: "Patients should attend their clinic appointments as normal. They do not need to telephone our switchboard to check."

However - the trust, which manages Russells Hall Hospital in Dudley, and the Corbett and Guest Outpatient Centres in Stourbridge and Dudley, has confirmed patients cannot currently contact The Dudley Group by email as external emails to and from the trust have been temporarily disabled as a precaution.
