A DERELICT building in the centre of Horsefair, in Kidderminster, which started to collapse to the ground on Wednesday night, is set to be demolished on Tuesday.

The derelict old post office on the junction of Blackwell Street and Radford Avenue, started to collapse at around 9.30pm on Wednesday night (May 24).

A WOMAN who died crossing the rail tracks at Barnt Green tried three times to pull herself onto the platform, before she was hit twice by a train travelling at 65mph.

Crystal Rose Conlon, 35, tried to follow her boyfriend across the tracks after they thought they had boarded the wrong train and needed to go in the opposite direction.

A "SEXUAL predator" who raped a Dudley schoolgirl he groomed after contacting her on social media has been jailed for 21 years.

Ayden Thompson, who also raped two other women in the area, was told by Judge Nicholas Webb he would only be allowed back onto the streets when he was deemed to be safe.

A WORDSLEY man has been jailed for more than four years after he ploughed into and killed a pensioner while driving at "grossly excessive" speed and using two mobile phones.

Ryan Freeth was streaming music on the one phone while the second was being used for text messages and calls as he made his way to play football with friends, Wolverhampton Crown Court was told.

TWO women had to be taken to hospital this morning (Friday, May 26) after a crash on the M5 near Oldbury.

Emergency services were dispatched to the scene, near junction 2, at about 8.23am after a car and lorry collided, blocking two of the southbound lanes.
