A DUDLEY teenager has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing in Worcester earlier this week.

A man received "very serious" stab wounds to his stomach and chest during the incident in the St Martin's Gate area of Worcester on Sunday night (June 11).

Ethan Bell-Milne, aged 19, from Himley Street has been charged with attempted murder, section 18 wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon.

He was detained to appear at Worcester Magistrates Court today, (June 16).

The case was transferred to Worcester Crown Court, where he will appear on Monday, July 10. 

Bell-Milne remains in custody.

A 33-year-old woman and a 41-year-old man, both from Worcester, who were arrested on suspicion of aiding and abetting attempted murder have been released without charge.

A police tent was erected at the scene and the area was cordoned off.
