A WOMAN has been fined £280 for drink driving.

Mary Diane Margaret Jesic, aged 59, of Danefield Drive, Sedgley, had 80mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath when she was caught driving in Sedgley on June 11.

The legal limit is 35mcgs.

She was disqualified from driving for 20 months when she appeared at Dudley Magistrates Court and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

The following also appeared before the courts between June 23 and 29: William James Evitts, aged 34, of Blackberry Lane, Rowley Regis, was sent to prison for eight weeks, suspended for 12 months, for driving while disqualified and without insurance in Netherton on February 18. He was also sentenced for possessing a knuckleduster and nine grams of a Methylmethcathinone derivative. He was disqualified from driving for two years and must pay a victim surcharge of £115 and £185 court costs.

Michael Charles McDermott, aged 48, of Overfield Road, Russells Hall, was sent to prison for 20 weeks for stealing items, worth £477.61, from TK Maxx, Merry Hill, on June 24, while subject to a suspended sentence. He must pay a victim surcharge of £115.

Daniel Jason Keith Porter, aged 29, of Cinder Bank, Netherton, was given a 12 month community order for drink driving in Netherton on June 25. When tested, he had 86mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was also sentenced for driving while disqualified and without insurance. He was disqualified from driving for 36months and must carry out 200 hours unpaid work and pay a victim surcharge of £85.

Alexandra Lupu, aged 28, of Salop Road, Oldbury, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for stealing items, worth £388, from Debenhams, Merry Hill, on June 12. She must pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £185 court costs.

Neil Whitehouse, aged 39, of Bradford Road, Holly Hall, was given a 12 month community order for driving while disqualified in Dudley on June 10. He was also sentenced for driving without insurance or MOT. He was disqualified from driving for three months and must carry out 40 hours unpaid work and pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £135 court costs.

Ricky Wood, aged 24, of Knowle Road, Rowley Regis, was fined £300 for drink driving in Lye on June 12. When tested, he had 49mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was also sentenced for driving without insurance. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Adam James Taylor, aged 21, of Moor Street, Brierley Hill, was fined £160 for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with the intention of causing harassment, alarm or distress to another in Brierley Hill on June 13. He must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Harvey Douglas Williams, aged 34, of Field Crescent, Halesowen, was given a 12 month community order for stealing items, worth £239, from shops in Wordsley and Norton between May 29 and June 4. He must pay a victim surcharge of £85.

Colin Hawthorne, aged 54, of Inhedge Street, Upper Gornal, was discharged conditionally for nine months for stealing items, worth £78.28, from shops in Upper Gornal and Dudley on April 11 and June 4. He was also sentenced for failing to surrender to custody at Dudley Magistrates Court on June 22, having been released on bail. He must pay a victim surcharge of £20, £66 compensation and £135 court costs.

Grant Gerald Deen, aged 35, of Elizabeth Crescent, Oldbury, was sent to prison for 26 weeks for threatening someone with a lock knife in Oldbury on June 28. He was also sentenced for conspiring with another to steal goods, worth £37.64, from One Stop, Oldbury on June 2, driving while disqualified and without insurance and making off without paying for £30.01 of fuel from Asda, Oldbury, on June 5. He must pay a victim surcharge of £115.
