A CAR left the road after hitting an island in Brierley Hill "at speed".
Firefighter arrived at the scene in Dudley Road - opposite Brierley Hill Fire Station - at around 4.45am today (Saturday) after being called by police.
A spokesman for West Midlands Fire Service said the driver was not at the scene but was later found to have "stumbled to house in John Street".
Crews made the vehicle safe and the car was removed a short time later.
