IF your dog can tackle obstacle courses or loves to show off his waggy tail, then head on down to Baggeridge Country Park this weekend.

The annual dog show in aid of Hearing Dogs for Deaf People will return on Saturday and there are lots of classes for talented pooches to enter.

Rosettes will be awarded for first, second and third places and each class winner will get a prize.

Registration starts at 10.30am and the first class will be held at 11am.

Entry costs £2 per class.

There will also be obedience and agility demonstrations throughout the day.

Cash raised at the event, sponsored by Blacks Vets, will help train dogs to help deaf people with everyday sounds that they would otherwise miss such as the alarm clock, doorbell and even danger signals such as the smoke alarm.
