HAVE you ever wondered what would happen if you were stranded on a desert island? Well here is your chance.

The producers of The Island with Bear Grylls are looking for Black Country contestants to take part in the Channel 4 survival reality show.

If you think you have what it takes to build your own shelter and catch your own dinner, while being stripped of your 21st century comforts, then this could be the opportunity for you.

In previous series, volunteers were cast away on a remote deserted island, filming themselves and sharing their raw and exhilarating story of survival.

Producers are on the hunt for men and women over the age of 18 to take part and you don’t even need any experience of adventure or survival pursuits.

To be in with a chance of appearing on the show, apply at www.theislandwithbeargrylls.com before Monday, August 7.

Bear said: “Man has moved further and further from his hunter-gatherer origins. We take food, shelter and warmth for granted; we barely have to expend any time or energy to get them. I want to find out what happens when you strip people of all the comforts of modern life."
