People are being asked to check their details are up to date, and highlight any residents who are not registered, and respond by either text, email, website or post.

Dudley News:

Sarah Norman, chief executive and electoral registration officer at Dudley Council, said: “It is important that people take the time to check their details and let us know if there are any changes.

“Being registered to vote means that you have a big role to play in shaping hundreds of council services across the borough, but if you’re not registered you can’t have your say.

“With the local elections next May it is particularly important for people across Dudley borough.”

If people are not currently registered, they will be sent information explaining how to register online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.

The council is particularly reminding people who have recently moved house. Any residents who have any questions can contact the elections team at 01384 814740.
