TWO friends have raised £1,100 for three borough charities by jumping out of a plane at 10,000ft.
Shaz Saleem and Jesse Perkins took the plunge on Saturday (August 26) to raise funds for Dudley Mind, YMCA and Alzheimer's UK - the Mayor of Dudley, Councillor Dave Tyler's chosen charities.
Mr Saleem, who lives in Kingswinford and was recently named as an ambassador to the mayor, said: "It was an amazing experience, I can't explain it.
"This was my little contribution to the brilliant work these three charities do.
"It's always important to give back and show our appreciation."

The fearless duo had set themselves a £1,000 target, but Mr Saleem, the chairman of Dudley's Private Hire and Taxi Association, said he was delighted that they had managed to surpass it.
He added: "To have smashed our target amount is fantastic.
"I want to thank everyone who has supported us but there is still time to continue supporting us."

Cllr Tyler said he thought the men were "barmy but very brave", adding: "I cant' thank them enough, and everyone else who has donated so far."
