A ROWLEY Regis man has been fined £200 for drink driving.

Innocent Mugwagwa Bamu, aged 52, of Belle Vue Road, had 86mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath when he was caught behind the wheel in Rowley Regis on August 28. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

He was also sentenced for driving without insurance.

Bamu was disqualified from driving for 21 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

The following also appeared at Dudley Magistrates Court between September 2 and 7: Dean Michael Avey, aged 38, of Osprey Drive, Russells Hall, was sent to prison for eight weeks, suspended for 12 months, for stealing whiskey, worth £31, from Aldi, Wollaston, on August 31. He must pay a victim surcharge of £115.

Shane David Glyptis, aged 30, of Charles Road, Quarry Bank, was fined £40 for resisting a police officer in the execution of his duty in Quarry Bank on August 31. He must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Aniel Duggal Kumar, aged 32, of Badsey Road, Oldbury, was sent to prison for 12 weeks for stealing aftershave, worth £98, from Next, Oldbury, on June 6, while subject to a suspended sentence. He must pay compensation of £98.

Darren Anthony Harley, aged 48, of Chestnut Avenue, Dudley, was sent to prison for eight weeks, suspended for 12 months for drink driving in Dudley on August 19. When tested, he had 138mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was also sentenced for possessing cannabis. He was disqualified from driving for 30 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £115 and £135 court costs.

Dean John Robbins, aged 35, of Meadow Walk, Cradley Heath, was given a two year community order for assaulting a woman in Cradley Heath on September 20, 2016. He was also sentenced for failing to surrender to custody at Dudley Magistrates Court on February 9, having been released on bail. He must carry out 150 hours unpaid work and pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £200 court costs.

Wayne Fletcher, aged 50, of Keepers Close, Wall Heath, was given a 12 month community order for causing £300 worth of damage to a front door in Halesowen on January 8. He was given an eight week curfew and for the duration must remain at his home address between 9pm and 8am. He must pay compensation of £344.

Matthew Edward Banner, aged 25, of Ash Street, Cradley Heath, was fined £110 for drink driving in Stourbridge on August 27. When tested, he had 58mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was disqualified from driving for 16 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Lisa Whitehouse, aged 47, of Chawn Hill Close, Stourbridge, was fined £110 for drink driving in Brierley Hill on August 27. When tested, she had 53mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. She was disqualified from driving for 15 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Darren Robert Lee Cox, aged 37, of Wrens Nest Road, Dudley, was fined £200 for using threatening or abusive words or behaviour within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress, in Dudley, on June 4. He must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.
