THE classic My Fair Lady – frequently called the 'perfect' musical – is being brought to the Brierley Hill stage this week.

Made famous by the film adaption starring Audrey Hepburn and Rex Harrison, My Fair Lady has been performed numerously worldwide but Brierley Hill Musical Theatre Company will be hosting their production at the Civic Hall from Wednesday (October 11) to Saturday (October 14).

Set in London in 1912, the musical follows the story of Eliza Doolittle, a Cockney flower girl who takes speech lessons from Professor Henry Higgins, so that she may pass as a lady.

The poignant and timeless musical features classic show tunes such as ‘Wouldn't It Be Loverly’, ‘I Could Have Danced All Night’ and ‘On The Street Where You Live’.

This year, Brierley Hill Musical Theatre Company are celebrating their 70th anniversary, while it will also have been more than 20 years since My Fair Lady was performed at the civic hall.
