GOOD morning. We are here to provide any information on incidents that might crop up throughout the rush hour period this morning on our Black Country and North Worcestershire roads.

So far the roads across the area are pretty quiet, but there is the usual congestion at the Burnt Tree traffic lights in Dudley and Birchley Island in Oldbury.

Traffic is heavy in Kidderminster on A456 Birmingham Road at Chester Road North (Land Oak traffic lights), while slow traffic is causing delays in Redditch on A441 Birmingham Road at Dagnell End Road. In the roadworks area due to the temporary traffic lights in use.

Further afield and one lane is blocked on the M6 southbound on an exit slip road, where there is heavy traffic due to broken down vehicle at J7 A34 (Great Barr). Lane one (of two) is closed as you head up from the motorway towards the roundabout.

There are areas of planned roadworks which are causing delays, they include:

Speed restriction of 30 mph and one lane closed due to major roadworks and contraflow on M5 both ways between J1 (West Bromwich / Birmingham) and J2 (Oldbury). Work on the Oldbury Viaduct means that all traffic is sharing one side of the road as a contraflow.

There are also speed restriction of 20 mph in Pensnett due to roadworks and temporary traffic lights on A4101 High Street at High Oak and there are telecoms work and temporary traffic lights in place in Barnt Green on Bittell Road at Fiery Hill Road.

Water main work and temporary traffic lights could cause delays in Rowley Regis on Doulton Road between Knowle Road and Cornfield Road, while Grange Hill in Halesowen is closed both ways due to roadworks between Illey Lane and Manor Way.

A lane is closed both ways due to gas main work and temporary traffic lights on A441 Birmingham Road in Hopwood between Redditch Road and Lea End Lane, traffic is slow in that area.

Summervale Road in Hagley is closed both ways due to water main work between A456 Kidderminster Road, Worcester Road, Western Road and Milestone Drive, while electricity work and temporary traffic lights are expected to cause delays in Wall Heath on Mile Flat at Enville Road/Swindon Road.
