THE late entertainer Sir Bruce Forsyth will be remembered at the National Television Awards as organisers revealed a prize will be awarded in his memory.

The Bruce Forsyth entertainment award will honour the nation’s favourite entertainment programmes, with Ant And Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, The Graham Norton Show and All Round To Mrs Brown’s nominated for the prize.

The revived Tonight At The London Palladium – which had previously been hosted by Sir Bruce – completes the shortlist for the renamed award.

DOCTOR Who star Tom Baker is to reprise his role as the Time Lord after a near 36-year absence as a previously unfinished episode is to be released.

Shada was created in 1979 for the end of the show’s 17th series before strike action at the BBC meant studio scenes were never completed and the episode was abandoned.

Almost four decades later it is to be released on BBC Worldwide as the original footage is combined with a brand new colour animation to complete the story.

MERYL Streep has hit out at the alleged behaviour of Harvey Weinstein following his dismissal from The Weinstein Company, and hailed the women speaking out against him as “heroes”.

The Hollywood studio, co-founded by Weinstein and his brother Bob, has launched an investigation into allegations of sexual harassment by the producer.

Days before his sacking, Weinstein issued an apology after claims were made by women with whom he had worked, including Ashley Judd, although he has not directly addressed the allegations.

SINGER Dolly Parton could win over some very young fans – reading a CBeebies Bedtime Story.

The country music star, 71, is following in the footsteps of Tom Hardy, David Hasselhoff, Sir Derek Jacobi, Suranne Jones and Queens Of The Stone Age frontman Josh Homme in signing up for a slot on the pre-school channel.

The Jolene singer will read Dog Loves Books, written and illustrated by Louise Yates, later this month.
