A DEODORANT thief from Brierley Hill has been locked up for six weeks.

William Junior Gamble, aged 28, of Swan Lane, stole cans of deodorant, worth £78.96, from Village Store, Kingswinford, on August 1.

He was also sentenced for failing to surrender to custody at Dudley Magistrates Court on April 26, having been released on bail.

Gamble must pay compensation of £78.96.

Richard Luke Morgan, aged 27, of Teasdale Way, Wollescote, was fined £300 for being drunk and disorderly in Wordsley on September 22, while subject to a conditional discharge. He must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Zoe Bending, aged 41, of St Giles Court, Rowley Regis, was given a nine month community order for stealing items, worth £487.58, from stores in Dudley and Oldbury on September 21 and 24. She was also sentenced for assaulting a man in Dudley on September 21. She must pay compensation of £100.

Les Davies, aged 48, of Snowdon Grove, Halesowen, was fined £100 for drink driving in Dudley on September 22. When tested, he had 68mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was disqualified from driving for 18 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £70 court costs.

Laura Caroline Alison Quinn, aged 32, of Wolverhampton Street, Dudley, was sent to prison for 12 weeks, suspended for six months, for stealing bedding, worth £64.97, from B&M Bargains, Dudley, on August 12. She was also sentenced for failing to surrender to custody at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on September 12. She must pay a victim surcharge of £115.

Leroy Anthony Scott, aged 40, Severn Road, Halesowen, was fined £200 for driving without a licence or insurance in Dudley on October 8. He was also fined £80 or possessing cannabis. He was given six penalty points and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £120 court costs.

Wayne Mark Williams, aged 38, of High Street, Lye, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for stealing vitamin tablets, worth £20.98, from Holland and Barrett, Dudley, on September 13. He must pay a victim surcharge of £20.

Shannon Victoria Seymour-Mills, aged 21, of Highfield Road, Kates Hill, was given a 12 month community order for assaulting two women in Dudley on April 1. She must carry out 200 hours unpaid work, pay £200 compensation, a victim surcharge of £85 and £300 court costs.

Nathan Anthony Round, aged 27, of Wavell Road, Quarry Bank, was given a nine month community order for stealing watches, worth £318, from H Samuels, Merry Hill, on September 30 and October 7. He was given a two month curfew and for the duration must remain at his home address between 7pm and 7am. He must pay compensation of £159.

Joanne Susan Lilian Harrison, aged 37, of Hartlebury Road, Oldbury, was given a 12 month community order for assaulting a man and woman in Oldbury on September 23. She was given a four month curfew and for the duration must remain at her home address between 8pm and 7am. She must pay compensation of £200.

Kasim Tariq, aged 27, of Lion Farm, Rowley Regis, was fined £300 for drink driving in West Bromwich on September 22. When tested, he had 47mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Steven Careless, aged 38, of Titford Road, Oldbury, was fined £120 for assaulting a woman in Oldbury on August 12. He must pay £50 compensation, a victim surcharge of £30 and £320 court costs.

Choudhary Tasnim Rashid, aged 41, of Blowers Green Road, Dudley, was fined £210 for failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis during the course of an investigation into whether he had committed an offence, in Brockmoor on May 24. He was also sentenced for driving without insurance. He was disqualified from driving for 46 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £425 court costs.

Mark Paul Tresler, aged 39, of Lewis Road, Oldbury, was fined £560 for assaulting someone in Smethwick on September 26. He must pay compensation of £100, a victim surcharge of £56 and £135 court costs.

Jane Kathleen Slater, aged 39, of Cinder Bank, Dudley, was given a six month community order for stealing items, worth £65, from One Stop, Wordsley, on August 10. She was given a two month curfew and for the duration must remain at her home address between 7pm and 7am. She must pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £135 court costs.

Daniel Phillip Whitcombe, aged 31, of Holcroft Road, Oldswinford, was sent to prison for eight weeks, suspended for 12 months, for drink driving in Stourbridge on September 28. When tested, he had 97mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was also sentenced for driving without a licence, insurance or MOT. He was disqualified from driving for 50 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £135 court costs. He was also given a two month curfew and for the duration must remain at his home address between 7pm and 7am.
