A SCOOTER rider suffered critical injuries after a crash with a car in Dudley.
Emergency services were called to Castle Hill, outside Castle Casino, at 5.50pm last night (Tuesday).
An ambulance, paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford with a trauma doctor and critical care paramedic on board were sent to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival, ambulance crews found a man who had suffered multiple serious injuries.
“Due to the serious nature of the injuries, the doctor anaesthetised the man at the scene.
"He had a pelvic binder put in place before being taken on blue lights to the major trauma centre at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham.
"The doctor and critical care paramedics travelled with the ambulance.”
