A WOMAN has been given a suspended sentence for threatening a man with a knife.

Tanya Louise Smythe, of Woodland Avenue, Quarry Bank, admitted threatening the man with the weapon in High Street, Cradley Heath, on October 15.

The 43-year-old was sent to prison for six months, suspended for 18 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £115 and £185 court costs.

She was also given a three month curfew and for the duration must remain at her home address between 7pm and 7am.

Antonio James Price, aged 32, of Fens Crescent, Brierley Hill, was fined £150 for drink driving in Halesowen on October 6. When tested, he had 67mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was also sentenced for driving without insurance or MOT. He was disqualified from driving for three years and must pay £135 court costs.

Dennis Malcolm Parkes, aged 32, of Love Lane, Lye, was fined £166 for being drunk and disorderly in Stourbridge on October 6. He must pay a victim surcharge of £30.

Craig Thomas Synott, aged 27, of Beecher Place, Halesowen, was fined £300 for being drunk and disorderly at Russells Hall Hospital on October 7. He was also fined £200 for possessing cannabis. He must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Glyn Andrew Davies, aged 56, of Woodcroft Close, Cradley Heath, was sent to prison for 10 weeks for stealing items, worth £48, from Poundland, West Bromwich, on October 22, while subject to a suspended sentence. He must pay a victim surcharge of £115.

Daniel Paul Moore, aged 35, of Wilson Road, Brockmoor, was sent to prison for 18 weeks for stealing sunglasses, worth £74.99, from Boots, Merry Hill, while subject to a suspended sentence. He must pay a victim surcharge of £115.

Christopher Ronald Welch, aged 35, of Marigold Crescent, Dudley, was sent to prison for 12 weeks, suspended for 12 months, for stealing items, worth £692.31, from shops in Dudley between August 1 and September 26. He must pay a victim surcharge of £115.

Shaun Kevin Slater, aged 34, of Ragley Walk, Rowley Regis, was fined £150 for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards a police officer in Oldbury on August 17, with intent to cause them to believe violence would be used. He must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Martyn Steven Hale, aged 35, of Fullwood Crescent, Holly Hall, was given a 12 month community order for stealing items, worth £68.84, from shops in Brierley Hill between September 3 and 23. He must pay compensation of £50 and a victim surcharge of £85.

Hayley Anne Smith, aged 32, of Osprey Drive, Russells Hall, was sent to prison for 24 weeks for stealing items, worth around £764, from shops in Brierley Hill on September 30 and October 4. She must pay a victim surcharge of £115.

Harvey Douglas Williams, aged 35, of Cinder Bank, Netherton, was sent to prison for 18 weeks, suspended for two years, for stealing six joints of beef and six packs of salmon from Asda, Netherton, on August 21. He was also sentenced for making off without paying for £25.02 worth of fuel in Stourbridge on August 27. He was given a two month curfew and for the duration must remain at his home address between 6pm and 6am. He was also disqualified from driving for two years and must pay a victim surcharge of £115, compensation of £50 and £135 court costs.

Ian Jordan, aged 54, of Wolverhampton Street, Dudley, was discharged conditionally for 18 months for stealing frozen chicken and lamb, worth £32, from Iceland, Dudley, on October 10 and 12. He must pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £135 court costs.

Alan Leonard Woolf, aged 49, of Brook Street, Lye, was sent to prison for 14 weeks for drink driving in Dudley on October 12. When tested, he had 96mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was also sentenced for driving without insurance or MOT. He was disqualified from driving for five years and must pay a victim surcharge of £115.
