SHAPPI Khorsandi is bringing her latest tour, Mistress and Misfit, to the Black Country next year.

The comic, who has appeared on the likes of Live At The Apollo and QI, will be at Stourbridge Town Hall on Saturday, May 5.

The 44-year-old is the best-selling author of A Beginners Guide to Acting English and her debut novel – Nina is not OK – was published last year.

Born in Iran, she was recently elected president of the British Humanist Society.

She has also appeared as a panellist on the BBC's Question Time and on Channel 4's The Celebrity Bank Job, where she won nearly £60,000 for her chosen charities.

Shappi has also appeared on ITV's Loose Women, filling in for Jamelia on the panel.
