GOOD morning. We are here to provide any information on incidents that might crop up throughout the rush hour period this morning on our Black Country and North Worcestershire roads.

So far the roads across the area are pretty quiet, but a broken down vehicle – which has now been removed - was causing delays on M5 southbound between J3 A456 (Halesowen) and J4 A38 (Bromsgrove/Stourbridge).

Traffic is heavier than normal on Tipton Road northbound in Dudley from A459 Castle Hill (Castle Gate Island) to Birmingham New Road, there is also heavy traffic in Kidderminster on A448 Comberton Road between A449 Chester Road South and Lea Street near the train station.

The usual congestion at the Burnt Tree traffic lights in Dudley and Birchley Island in Oldbury is also causing delays.

Those heading into Birmingham this morning should know there is no service on Midland Metro between Bull Street and Birmingham New Street due to burst water main at Corporation Street. Trams will run between Priestfield and Bull Street, and not reach Grand Central.

There are areas of planned roadworks which are causing delays, they include:

Speed restriction of 30 mph and one lane closed due to major roadworks and contraflow on M5 both ways between J1 (West Bromwich / Birmingham) and J2 (Oldbury). Work on the Oldbury Viaduct means that all traffic is sharing one side of the road as a contraflow.

There are also speed restriction of 20 mph in Pensnett due to roadworks and temporary traffic lights on A4101 High Street at High Oak.

Carriageway repairs on Bromsgrove Road both ways between Cockshutt Lane and Snakes Lake Lane near Bromsgrove are causing delays and telecoms work and there are temporary traffic lights are in place on B4096 Old Birmingham Road in Lickey End near Lord Austin Drive.

One lane is closed due to gas main work on A457 Birmingham Road between Manchester Street / Bridge Street and Pope's Lane in Oldbury, and people should also expect delays at A441 Birmingham Road in Redditch near Weights Lane due to roadworks and temporary traffic lights.

In Kidderminster, electricity work and temporary traffic lights will be in place on Habberley Lane at Habberley Road until December 8, while gas main work and temporary traffic lights are in place on A448 Comberton Road at Yew Tree Road.

Telecoms work and temporary traffic lights could cause delays on Wildmoor Lane at Mayfield Close in Catshill.

In Oldbury, electricity work and temporary traffic lights are on Tat Bank Road at Parsonage Street, and telecoms work and temporary traffic lights on Seven Stars Road between Oldbury Ring Way and Park Street.
