A BRIERLEY Hill supermarket will host a fun-filled day of fundraising in aid of Children in Need.

Families visiting Asda tomorrow (Friday, November 17), can take part in games, try their luck on a tombola and grab a Pudsey bear activity sheet from 10.30am.

The theme of the event will centre around BBC Children in Need and Asda’s new Power of Play campaign, which champions how important play is to a child's development.

Customers will also be able to pick up free playcards from the store's community board, which will explain how to create musical instruments, a farm scene and space station, using everyday items available from the Pearson Street supermarket.

Emma Flavell, the store's community champion, said: “We would like to encourage everyone in the local community to come along and join in the fun.

“This is Asda’s seventeenth year as proud supporters of BBC Children in Need and I’m delighted to host activity in Brierley Hill. We’ll have lots of different games for adults and kids to get involved in.

"Make sure you pop the date in the diary and come along to help a brilliant cause.”
