A MAGICAL ice kingdom is returning to Brierley Hill this Christmas.

Mum-of-two Kirsty James and her sister Nadine Beresford will bring a well-known ice queen and princess to life next month when they open up their grotto in Toys ‘R’ Us at intu Merry Hill.

The siblings will be at the store on December 9, 10, 16 and 17 to pose for pictures with youngsters and give them the chance to make a glitter wish at the wishing well.

Every child will also receive a free gift and there will be a raffle - with an after hours VIP grotto experience up for grabs - in aid of the children's ward at Russells Hall Hospital.

Kirsty, who has been in the entertainment industry since she was a child and sings in a Motown trio called Baby Love, said she came up with the idea for the grotto, which she ran alone last year, when she was looking for something different to do with her own children over the festive season.

But the 29-year-old, who lives in Lower Gornal, said she had "amazing feedback" last year but with her sister on board, she hopes it will be "even better".

Entry to the grotto, which will be open from 11am to 3pm, costs £5 per child.
