DUDLEY Town FC has launched its annual Christmas toy appeal.
This will be the fourteenth year that club members have brought some festive cheer to youngsters spending the big day in Russells Hall Hospital.
They will visit the children's ward at the borough's main hospital armed with sacks full of presents, hoping to bring smiles to the faces of children undergoing treatment.
Stephen Austin, club chairman, hopes that this will be the most successful appeal to date.
He said: "We are hoping the people and businesses of the Black Country will back our appeal again this year as they have done over previous years.
"Staying in hospital can be a worrying time for a child at any time of year, even more so at Christmas and we rely on donations and goodwill to help raise their spirits over the festive period."
New toys and games, suitable for either boys or girls, from babies up to teenage years, can be dropped off at Cushillo Personnel’s offices in Lower High Street, Stourbridge, The Black Country Hub at intu Merry Hill, or the Black Country T-Shirt shop in Castle Street, Dudley, until Sunday, December 17.
Alternatively, people can donate cash to the appeal via www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/DTFC2017ChristmasToyAppeal.
