AMBLECOTE High Street reopened on Saturday afternoon after a man was found dead.

The busy A491 main route into Stourbridge was taped off from the junction of Vicarage Road, by Holy Trinity Church, to Canal Street from around 5.30am on Saturday morning (December 16).

A BABY donkey has been born at a Wolverley arboretum and is set to become the star attraction in their Christmas festivities.

The yet to be named male was born at Bodenham Arboretum, in Wolverley, at 4.20pm on Thursday, December 14.

AN elderly man who was rushed to hospital in a critical condition after a crash in Halesowen is believed to have suffered a "medical episode" at the wheel.

Emergency services were called to Stourbridge Road, near its junction with Lutley Mill Road, just after 9.45am on Thursday (December 14).

THE war of words between Bromsgrove council and Shelter has continued after the homelessness charity's latest report stated 43 district children will be homeless this Christmas.

A new report by the charity revealed 4,828 children in the West Midlands will wake up homeless and in temporary accommodation on Christmas – including 43 in Bromsgrove.

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a number of vehicles were broken into in the Winyates and Church Hill areas of Redditch.

At least 19 vehicles were damaged, searched and had property - including a sat nav, a dash cam, a computer and other personal items - removed between 10pm on Thursday,  December 7 and 2am on Friday, December 8.
