Top Stourbridge bands Ned's Atomic Dustbin and The Wonder Stuff are brewing up an unusual way to mark their forthcoming tour.

The 90s chart acts have joined forces with Froth Blowers Brewery Co. to create a new limited-edition beer called Ned’s Wonder.

The balanced golden ale with a floral start and a subtle caramel finish will be sold at the band’s Love From Stourbridge tour in March and April 2018.

A third man has been charged with the murder of Jaskaran Kang.

Dontay Ellis, aged 18, of Central Drive in Lower Gornal, has been remanded in custody and was due to appear before Dudley Magistrates Court this morning (Friday January 19).

Mr Kang, aged 24, from Handsworth, was found fatally stabbed at a flat in Stourbridge Road, Dudley, on Saturday January 6.

A lorry driver who struck tragic 11-year-old Kyle Bastable has told the youngster’s family he thinks of the schoolboy every day.

Kyle, of Rowley Regis, died at the scene after being hit by a HGV – driven by DPD driver David Hadley – near the Shell garage on Birchley Island, Oldbury, before 10pm on August 31 last year.

An inquest into the former Rowley Hall Primary School pupil’s death took place at Black Country Magistrates Court today (Friday January 19), where it was heard Kyle was crossing from the centre island to the central reservation of the A4123 Wolverhampton Road when he was hit.

A Labour councillor has accused his Conservative rival of falling asleep during a council meeting.

Richard Udall tweeted a picture showing Adrian Hardman appearing to be asleep during the Worcestershire County Council meeting in County Hall on Thursday, January 18.

Cllr Hardman admitted that he 'probably did nod off' during the meeting.

A Bromsgrove councillor has hit out at plans to increase council tax by 4.94 per cent, suggesting it will force residents to make "sacrifices" to their heating and food bills.

Worcestershire County Council is recommending to increase council tax by 4.94 per cent from 2018/2019 – a £57 yearly increase for band D residents.

But at a council meeting on Thursday January 18, Labour group leader Peter McDonald, who represents Beacon ward in Bromsgrove, questioned the plans.

Organisers of a popular Kidderminster community event have confirmed it will return to a town park later this year.

The third annual Brinton’s Bash, which raises thousands for charities, will be held on June 2 at Brinton’s Park and will feature live music, fun attractions and a range of stalls.
