A NETHERTON woman who was almost three times the legal limit has received a 12 month community order for drink driving.

When Emily Jane Partridge, of New Road, was caught behind the wheel in Cradley Heath on December 17, she had 102mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

She was also sentenced for driving without insurance or MOT and was fined £80 for having children in the front and rear of the vehicle who were not secured with a booster seat.

The 30-year-old was disqualified from driving for two years and must carry out 120 hours unpaid work.

She must also pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £135 court costs.

Christopher Robert Handley, aged 48, of Caslon Crescent, Stourbridge, was given a 12 week community order for stealing chocolate from Co-op, Norton, on December 8 and 11, while subject to a conditional discharge. He was given a 12 week curfew and for the duration must remain at his home address between 7pm and 7am. He must pay £100 compensation, a victim surcharge of £85 and £50 court costs.

Sergey Lavrentjev, aged 51, of Oldacre Road, Oldbury, was given a 12 month community order for driving while disqualified and without insurance, in West Bromwich on January 3. He was also sentenced for driving without due care and attention and obstructing a police officer in the execution of his duty. He was disqualified from driving for 22 months and must carry out 200 hours unpaid work. He must also pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £135 court costs.

Jamie Brian Mark Terrence Abnett, aged 20, of Wynall Lane South, Lye, was given a 12 month community order for stealing clothing, worth £127.91, from TK Maxx, Merry Hill, on September 4. He must carry out 60 hours unpaid work and pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £312.50 court costs.

Jake Kendal, aged 18, of Wynall Lane South, Lye, was fined £125 for stealing clothing, worth £127.91, from TK Maxx, Merry Hill, on September 4. He must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £312.50 court costs.

Zoe Bending, aged 42, of St Giles Court, Rowley Regis, was fined £100 for stealing items, worth £413.26, from Asda, Great Bridge, on December 23. She must pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £80 court costs.

Arthur Mark Duffy, aged 35, of Queens Cross, Dudley, was sent to prison for 26 weeks for assaulting a man and causing £50 worth of damage to a door lock in Netherton between October 13 and 15. He must pay £600 compensation, a victim surcharge of £115.

Mark Russon, aged 42, of Molyneux Road, Netherton, was sent to prison for 12 weeks, suspended for 24 months, for assaulting a woman in Halesowen on December 20 and causing £300 worth of damage to a car bonnet in Halesowen on December 21. He must pay £300 compensation, a victim surcharge of £115 and £135 court costs.

Sherelle Lee Sabrina Mitchell, aged 29, of Hollybush Walk, Cradley Heath, was fined £150 for making off without paying for £20.76 worth of fuel in Birmingham on December 3 and 15. She must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £250 court costs.

Simon William Pickering, aged 29, of New Road, Netherton, was sent to prison for 20 weeks for stealing perfume, worth £127.80, from Debenhams, Brierley Hill, on November 22, 2017, while subject to a suspended sentence. He was also sentenced for taking two computer games, worth £98, from Tesco, Dudley, on January 23. He must pay a victim surcharge of £115 and £135 court costs.

Gurdeep Bhogal, aged 34, of Elsma Road, Oldbury, was fined £300 for drink driving in Oldbury on January 9. When tested, he had 60mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was disqualified from driving for 16 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £115 court costs.

Christopher Haslam, aged 36, of Oldbarn Road, Stourbridge, was fined £470 for drink driving in Kingswinford on January 9. When tested, he had 63mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was disqualified from driving for 18 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £47 and £135 court costs.
