A COUNCIL has chosen a design for its new play area, following a consultation with parents.
Over 350 people took part in the online consultation, which closed on Monday, for the playground in New Street, Upton.
Upton Town Council has now applied for developer contributions, called Section 106 funds, to pay for the £200,000 project.
Town councillor Henrietta Ross said: "We will announce which the preferred design is at the town meeting next week."
Play equipment firms Kompan and Proludi both competed for the project.
The successful design will be unveiled in Upton's Memorial Hall at 7.30pm on Tuesday, April 24.
