MUSIC fans planning to attend this year's SummerFest at Himley Hall are running out of time to snap up tickets at the early-bird rate.

Organised by Mary Stevens Hospice, the summer event will be made up of a music festival, a classic car show and a food festival, which will also include a cocktail bar, beer tent, a beach, fairground rides, children's entertainment and more than 10 free interactive activities such as volleyball, yoga and martial arts.

Headlining the main stage is The X Factor winner Matt Terry, runners-up Reggie N Bollie and Fame Academy star Lemar.

The event will be hosted by Signal 107 and will see bands from across the West Midlands take to the stage throughout the day.

During the early-bird offer, which ends on May 7, tickets are just £15 for those aged 1, with ages 13 and under getting in for free as long as they are accompanied by an adult.

Laura Millard, event organiser, said: “The response to the event has been absolutely phenomenal and we're so grateful to everyone who has booked their tickets already.

"This event is all about our community and we want it to be as accessible for them as possible so that we get that community spirit on the day that makes this area so, so special.

"Hopefully, a few cocktails in the sun with great food and amazing live music is a really attractive way to support the families who rely on our care here at the hospice, and the difference every single ticket will make to us simply can't be overestimated.”

SummerFest will run from 10am-5pm on Sunday, July 15.
