COMEDIAN Tom Stade will perform at a brand new stand-up show that will be launched in Halesowen later this year.

The Canadian, who has built up a cult following since moving to the UK, will take centre stage at Comedy At The Cornbow on Saturday, September 15.

The show at Cornbow Hall, Hagley Street, will also feature the laconic, dry Alun Cochrane and Brummie Jo Enright, who starred in ITV sitcom The Job Lot.

Dudley comic Wayne Beese will be the resident MC for the gigs, which it is hoped will run quarterly from 2019.

He said: “We’re really excited to be launching a new night in Halesowen. We already run nights in Dudley, Stourbridge and Brierley Hill – but as far as I’m aware there are no regular comedy nights at all in Halesowen, so we’re hoping they will prove popular."

He added: "Cornbow Hall is a great setting for comedy and we’ve genuinely got three of the best live stand-ups in the country.

"They’re all very different too, so it promises to be a brilliant opening night and we’d urge people to come along.”

Early bird tickets, which are on sale until the end of April, cost £15.

Doors will open at 7.30pm for an 8.30pm start.
