A DUDLEY man caught with a machete, lock knife and crack cocaine in his possession has been given a suspended sentence.

Atif Shah, aged 19, of Bourne Street, was sent to detention for 18 weeks, suspended for 12 months, after he was found with the drugs and knives in Dudley on October 31, 2017.

He was given a 16 week curfew and for the duration must remain at his home address between 7pm and 7am – except between May 15 and June 14 – when the curfew hours will be between 12am and 7am.

Shah must pay a victim surcharge of £115 and £600 court costs.

Matthew John Connelly Dillon, aged 56, of Vicarage Road, Lye, was sent to prison for 10 weeks for stealing meat, worth £45, from Tesco, Stourbridge, on April 12, while subject to a suspended sentence. He was also sentenced for failing to supply a non-intimate sample for the purpose of ascertaining whether he had a class A drug in his body whilst in police detention in Oldbury on April 19. He must pay a victim surcharge of £115.

Ian James Rollinson, aged 25, of Pleasant View, Lower Gornal, was sent to prison for 14 weeks for stealing items, worth £195.68, from shops in Brierley Hill and Cradley Heath between November 17, 2017 and April 19 and possessing cannabis in Oldbury on March 19. He was also sentenced for having pliers – for use in the course of, or in connection with theft – in Brierley Hill on March 19 and attempting to steal jackets, worth £149, from TK Maxx. Rollinson also used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intention to cause a person to believe that violence would be used against them in Cradley Heath on April 19. He must pay a victim surcharge of £115.

Brett George Spittle, aged 33, of Limes Avenue, Brierley Hill, was sent to prison for six weeks for stealing fragrance, worth £59.80, from Boots, Merry Hill, on December 20, 2017 and failing to surrender to custody at Dudley Magistrates Court on January 16, having been released on bail. He must pay a victim surcharge of £115.

Ross Andrew Hierons, aged 39, of Love Lane, Lye, was sent to prison for eight weeks for stealing chocolate, worth £50, from Wilkinsons, Stourbridge, on April 19. He must pay compensation of £50 and a victim surcharge of £115.

Roy George Brough, aged 38, of Hillside Road, Dudley, was sent to prison for 13 weeks for stealing items, worth £255 from shops in Wolverhampton, Dudley and Brierley Hill between January 10 and March 1. He was also sentenced for failing to surrender to custody at Dudley Magistrates Court on April 13, having been released on bail. He must pay a victim surcharge of £115.

Daniel Corneilian Reid, aged 39, of Grange Road, Dudley, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for being drunk and disorderly in Dudley on February 22. He must pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £175 court costs.

Martin John Bill, aged 43, of Cole Street, Netherton, was given a nine month community order for stealing items, worth £560, from shops in Dudley and Oldbury between March 13 and April 21. He must pay compensation of £252, a victim surcharge of £85 and £185 court costs.

Jason David Bingham, aged 39, of Sion Close, Brierley Hill, was sent to prison for six weeks for causing £100 worth of damage to a mobile phone in Brierley Hill on March 13, while subject to a suspended sentence and breaching a restraining order in Brierley Hill on March 16. He must pay a victim surcharge of £115.

David Darby, aged 47, of Woben Drive, Brierley Hill, was given a 12 week community order for drink driving in Brierley Hill on April 6. When tested, he had 120mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was given a 12 week curfew and for the duration must remain at his home address between 8pm and 6am. He was disqualified from driving for 30 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £135 court costs.

Samantha Leaane James, aged 28, of Bague Walk, Brierley Hill, was sent to prison for eight weeks for stealing items, worth £101.60, from shops in Wordsley and Withymoor on February 12 and 19. She must pay compensation of £69.10 and a victim surcharge of £115.

Benjamin Charles Vance, aged 36, of Bague Walk, Brierley Hill, was given a 12 month community order for stealing items, worth £65, from a shop Withymoor on February 19. He must pay compensation of £32.50, £250 court costs and a victim surcharge of £85.

Barry John Wilson, aged 49, of Blackacre Road, Kates Hill, was given a six week community order for stealing alcohol, worth £28.45, from B&M, Dudley, on March 28. He was given a six week curfew and for the duration must remain at his home address between 8pm and 8am. He must also pay a victim surcharge of £85.

Mark Anthony Shingler, aged 48, of Wrens Nest Road, Dudley, was fined £310 for drink driving in Dudley on January 23. When tested, he had 81mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was disqualified from driving for 20 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £31 and £700 court costs.

Dean Barry West, aged 39, of Bobs Coppice Walk, Quarry Bank, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for stealing a tracksuit, worth £180, from Scotts, Merry Hill, on March 16. He must pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £135 court costs.

Alex Brian Benjamin Stinton, aged 30, of Abbey Road, Colley Gate, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for causing £100 worth of damage to plasterwork and a doorframe in Dudley on April 24. He must pay £100 compensation.
