WOMEN interested in working in construction are invited to attend one of the free information sessions taking place across the borough.

Dudley Council’s adult learning service is working with Women into Construction to run the workshops, which will help to developing CV and interview skills, provide access to industry based work placements and support with finding paid employment with reputable employers.

Sessions will run at Castle and Priory Neighbourhood Learning Centre in Limes Road, Dudley, from 10am to 11am and Dudley Wood Neighbourhood Learning Centre in Pavilion Gardens, from 1pm to 3pm on May 24.

There will also be a session at the Brierley Hill Neighbourhood Learning Centre in Hill Street from 10am to 11am on 25 May.

Alan Lunt, the council's strategic director for place, said: “Dudley Council is committed to playing its role in creating a more equal workforce that is not predetermined by gender.

“We are really excited about hosting these sessions from Women into Construction, which actively supports women who want to work in the industry and I am confident that there will be a big take up with our residents.”
