A THIEF from Rowley Regis has appeared in court after she stole a pedal bin filled with candles and curtains from Homebase.

Zoe Bending, of St Giles Court, was given a 12 month community order for stealing the items, worth £78.95, from the Oldbury store on February 16.

The 42-year-old must pay compensation of £78.95.

Harinder Singh Mander, aged 38, of Station Road, Cradley Heath, was fined £500 for drink driving in Slough on December 9, 2017. When tested he had 130mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of blood. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £50 and £135 court costs.

Florian Gheorghe, aged 33, of St Michaels Crescent, Oldbury, was fined £360 for driving while disqualified and without insurance in Oldbury on May 17. He was disqualified from driving for five months and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Darren Skidmore, aged 46, Tansey Green Road, Pensnett, was given a nine month community order for stealing items, worth £233, from Sainsbury’s, Amblecote, on May 12. He was also sentenced for entering Poundland, Brierley Hill, as a trespasser on May 18 and stealing items of a value unknown. He must pay court costs of £185.

Adam Switalski, aged 35, of High Street, Lye, was fined £250 for drink driving in Brierley Hill on May 20. When tested, he had 101mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was also sentenced for driving without insurance. He was disqualified from driving for three years and must carry out 120 hours of unpaid work. Switalski must also pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £135 court costs.

Anthony Stephen Gilmour, aged 21, of South Bank Road, Cradley Heath, was fined £350 for assaulting a woman in Cradley Heath on March 4. He must pay a victim surcharge of £35 and £200 court costs.

Jordan John Nixon, aged 21, of Copse Road, Netherton, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for stealing aftershave, worth £44, from Boots, Merry Hill, on December 23, 2017. He must pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £135 court costs.

Candida Margaret Ward, aged 39, of Park Street, Lye, was sent to prison for 13 weeks, suspended for 12 months, for stealing items, worth £85, from shops in Stourbridge on March 11 and April 10. She was also sentenced for failing to surrender to custody at Dudley Magistrates Court on May 22, having been released on bail. She must pay compensation of £60, a victim surcharge of £115 and £135 court costs.

Luke Whitehouse, aged 20, of Russells Hall Road, Dudley, was given a one month community order for driving in Tipton on April 5 when the proportion of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol in his blood exceeded the specified limit. He was also fined £225 for driving without a licence or insurance. He was given a one month curfew and for the duration must remain at his home address between 5pm and 5am. He was also disqualified from driving for 18 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £135 court costs.

Lee Ashley Partridge, aged 22, of Spiral Close, Halesowen, was sent to prison for 13 weeks for entering Thorntons, Halesowen, as a trespasser on March 31 and stealing a safe and its contents of a value unknown. He must pay a victim surcharge of £115.

Jonathan Paul Treasure Weaver, aged 30, of Minehead Road, Russells Hall, was fined £120 for causing £381 worth of damage to a wing mirror in Dudley on August 8, 2017. He must pay compensation of £381, a victim surcharge of £30 and £150 court costs.

Stella Jayne Deakin, aged 40, of Boundry Hill, Lower Gornal, was fined £170 for drink driving in Dudley on May 6. When tested, she had 68mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. She was disqualified from driving for 17 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Nathan Walshaw, aged 25, of Wellington Road, Dudley, was fined £60 for being drunk and disorderly in Wrens Nest on May 6. He must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Mary Ann O’Driscoll, aged 48, of Hanover Road, Rowley Regis, was sent to prison for 12 weeks, suspended for 12 months for causing £300 worth of damage to a window in Oldbury on May 9 and assaulting a woman in Oldbury on May 8. She must pay compensation of £200.

Lee John Mitchell, aged 42, of Audnam, Stourbridge, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for attempting to steal items from a glovebox in Stourbridge on May 9. He must pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £100 court costs.

Anthony James Burns, aged 52, of Cole Street, Netherton, was given a 12 week community order for stealing four joints of meat, worth £36.31, from Aldi, Netherton, on May 24. He was also sentenced for failing to attend an initial assessment to establish whether he was dependent upon or had a propensity to misuse a class A drug. He was given a 12 week curfew and for the duration must remain at his home address between 7pm and 7am. He must also pay a victim surcharge of £85.

Jason Craig Hetherington-Brown, aged 39, of Columbus Avenue, Brierley Hill, was fined £375 for failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis during the course of an investigation into whether he had committed an offence, in Brierley Hill on April 23. He was disqualified from driving for 36 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £37 and £135 court costs.

Alan John Taylor, aged 40, of Harebell Crescent, Wrens Nest, was fined £123 for destroying an Amazon tablet, worth £50, in Wall Heath on March 4. He must pay compensation of £50, a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.
