BLACK Country Day comes to the Red House Glass Cone on Saturday when the Wordsley-based visitor centre will become a hive of activity.
There will be walks, talks, crafts and stalls as the cone marks the occasion with its own 350 years of heritage.
There will also be a couple of guided canal walks taking in the history of glass making to the area, while Dr Kate Round will provide a series of short talks throughout the day on the magic of glass.
A bostin’ Black Country Teenage Market will see young stallholders show off their business and creative skills, and the Sticky Saturday session will continue as normal for visitors to take part in a free craft activity.
Councillor Ian Kettle, Dudley Council’s cabinet member for regeneration and enterprise, said: “The cone has played a key part in the area's industrial past and is still a busy venue today, playing a role in supporting small business and attracting visitors to the area.”
Anyone wishing to take part in the canal walk should call 01384 815571 to book a free place.
