PLANS to build 225 homes on the site of a former Pensnett brickyard could be given the green light next week.
Dudley Council's planning officers have recommended the scheme, which covers 18 acres of the old Ibstock factory on Tansey Green Road, is approved - despite objections from nearby residents.
Neighbours have flagged up concerns about disruption during the building work and increased traffic adding to existing problems in the area.
However if councillors choose to grant the application, it is recommended they do so on the basis that 25 per cent of the homes are designated as affordable housing and the developer, Taylor Wimpey, makes a financial contribution to fund local school places.
The application will be discussed at a meeting of the Development Control Committee on Tuesday (July 12).
