A CHARITY is on the hunt for a co-coordinator to help deliver an adult foster care-like across Dudley borough.

Camphill Village Trust (CVT), the supportive home initiative based in Stourbridge, is delivering the Shared Lives scheme – which involves people being paid to care for adults who may be vulnerable or have a disability.

The charity is delivering the initiative on behalf of Dudley Council for the next five years and are now looking to employ an ‘area co-ordinator’ to oversee the scheme.

The job description for the role – which is offering of salary of between £20-26,000 – states: “For our innovative new scheme, we are looking to recruit someone who is passionate about Shared Lives and displays real insight into the benefits it can bring to people who wish to lead independent lives at the heart of the community.

“This is a challenging but rewarding new role and to succeed you will require a thorough understanding of Shared Lives and its potential, therefore, we will expect you to be creative, dedicated and have an explicit value base.

“If you are hard-working, ambitious and want to be at the leading edge of adult social care delivery, then this is the post for you.”
