A WOMAN who had a kitchen knife in Stourbridge High Street has been given a suspended sentence.

Jennifer Hunter, of Lower High Street, Stourbridge, was sent to prison for 16 weeks, suspended for 12 months, for possessing the seven inch blade on May 25.

She was also sentenced for assaulting a police officer on May 21.

The 29-year-old was given a 12 week curfew and for the duration must remain at her home address between 8pm and 7am.

She must pay compensation of £50, a victim surcharge of £115 and £100 court costs.

Hayley Anne Smith, aged 33, of Osprey Drive, Russells Hall, was sent to prison for six weeks for stealing four handbags, worth £449.96, from TK Maxx, Merry Hill, on July 14. She must pay a victim surcharge of £115.

David Mathew Chidley, aged 35, of Gibbs Road, Halesowen, was sent to prison for eight weeks for causing £500 worth of damage to a door in Stourbridge on July 14. He was also sentenced for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause harassment, alarm or distress. He must pay compensation of £115.

Marley Tyrone Perry, aged 21, of Northwood Court, Brierley Hill, was sent to prison for 14 weeks for stealing a Sony radio and headphones, worth £109, from Tesco, Dudley, on July 16 and possessing a steak knife. He must pay a victim surcharge of £115.

Stuart James Dale, aged 52, of Ombersley Road, Halesowen, was fined £133 for breaching a restraining order in Halesowen on July 16. He must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £185 court costs.

Daniel Branigan, aged, of Salop Street, Oldbury, was given a 12 month community order for drink driving in West Bromwich on July 3. When tested, he had 120mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was disqualified from driving for 29 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £135 court costs.

Sukbir Singh Sunder, aged 48, of Edenhall Road, Quinton, was fined £293 for drink driving in Oldbury on June 28. When tested, he had 49mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was disqualified from driving for 14 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Stuart Woolley, aged 37, of The Inn Field, Cradley Heath, was given a 10 week community order for causing £150 worth of damage to a window in Oldbury on November 18, 2017. He was given a 10 week curfew and for the duration must remain at his home address between 7pm and 7am. He must pay compensation of £300, a victim surcharge of £85 and £350 court costs.

Luke Donnelly, aged 18, of Thorns Road, Brierley Hill, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for being drunk and disorderly in Rowley Regis on July 4. He must pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £50 court costs.

Kalem Andrew Blackburn, aged 20, of Stepping Stones, Stourbridge, was given a 12 month community order for assaulting a women in Stourbridge on May 27 and causing £700 worth of damage to an iPhone 7. He must carry out 80 hours of unpaid work and pay compensation of £100 and £85 court costs.

Robert Paul Cummings, aged 40, of Bellevue Road, Rowley Regis, was given a 12 month community order for assaulting a man in Blackheath on September 10, 2017. He must carry out 200 hours unpaid work and pay £100 compensation and £600 court costs.
