A PAIR of longstanding friends are organising a reunion for former pupils of two Dudley schools in Stourbridge this autumn.

Levene Brown, nee Parsons, attended Dudley Girls High School from 1968-74 and David James was a pupil at Dudley Grammar School from 1966-73.

They are seeking former pupils of either school to join them at a reunion on Saturday, October 27 in the Great Hall at Old Swinford Hospital School in Heath Lane, Stourbridge.

The event is already proving to be very popular with pupils flying in from overseas, including New York.

Levene said: “We have already had a tremendous response and more than 60 tickets have been sold, but we would love to meet up with more of our old friends.

“It will be a great chance to reminisce about some wonderful times.”

David added: “The reunion is open to former pupils of either school who started before their closure in the mid-1970s.

“It’s not year specific…anyone from the 50s/60s/70s can come along.

“But it’s a reunion for pupils only, the size of the venue means we don’t have the scope to invite partners I’m afraid.”

The event will run from 7.30pm until midnight and tickets cost £20, including a buffet.
