A HALESOWEN man has been charged with drink-driving after a car hit a canal bridge in Wordsley.
Ashley Jones, of Lodgefield Road, was also charged with driving while disqualified and without insurance following the crash in Brierley Hill Road at around 4pm on Thursday (August 2).
Two young boys - aged four and six - sustained minor injuries and were taken to Russells Hall Hospital as a precaution.
A woman in her 20s, who had got out of the vehicle by the time paramedics arrived, had a suspected fractured leg.
She was given pain relief by ambulance staff and trauma care on scene before she was taken on blue lights to the same hospital for further treatment.
Jones, aged 28, has been bailed to appear at Dudley Magistrates Court on August 17.
