ENTERTAINER Barry Chuckle was diagnosed with bone cancer but kept it secret from his fans, his brother claimed.

The veteran entertainer, real name Barry Elliott, died at the weekend at the age of 73.

He found fame performing alongside his brother Paul Elliott as the Chuckle Brothers, in BBC comedy show ChuckleVision, which ran for 21 series from 1987 to 2009.

JASON Statham has ruled himself out of the running to be the next James Bond.

The actor is currently starring in The Meg, a film in which he plays a rescue diver tasked with saving a submarine crew trapped at the bottom of the ocean with a giant prehistoric shark.

At the film’s premiere in Los Angeles on Monday, the British actor was asked if he would be interested in playing Bond if Daniel Craig decides to step down after his fifth outing as the revered spy.

CORONATION Street’s Sally Dynevor has joked that viewers will need to dig out their Free The Weatherfield One t-shirts when her character is left facing prison.

Dramatic scenes in the ITV soap will see Dynevor’s character Sally Metcalfe arrested after con man Duncan tries to frame her for a scam in which he pocketed £40,000 from the council.

The actress said the plot means fans could get another chance to wear the t-shirts that were part of the huge public campaign to free Deirdre Barlow (Anne Kirkbride) when she was locked up for fraud in 1998.

A MAN has been charged with vandalising Donald Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, authorities have said.

Austin Mikel Clay, 24, is accused of using a pickaxe to smash the president’s star on Hollywood Boulevard on July 25.

The defendant left the scene but turned himself into a police department the following day, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney.
