A HALESOWEN man who was more than three times over the drink-drive limit has been banned from driving for five years.

Rakash Lal, of Kent Road, was sent to prison for 20 weeks, suspended for two years for drink driving in Tividale on March 31.

When tested, he had 129mlgs of alcohol in 100mls of blood. The legal limit is 80mlgs.

The 36-year-old was also sentenced for driving without due care and attention, while disqualified and without insurance.

He must pay a victim surcharge of £115 and £135 court costs.

Joanne Susan Handley, aged 43, of Bank Street, Brierley Hill, was given a six month community order for stealing two packs of Ariel liquitabs, worth £10, from Wilkos, Dudley, on June 28, while subject to a conditional discharge. She was fined £50 and must pay £10 compensation.

Dianne Claybrook, aged 62, of Counterfield Drive, Rowley Regis, was given a six month community order for drink driving in Rowley Regis on June 22. When tested, she had 240mlgs of alcohol in 100mls of blood. The legal limit is 80mlgs. She was also sentenced for driving without insurance and was disqualified from driving for two years. She was fined £50 and must pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £135 court costs.

Mathew Wozniak, aged 32, of Beecher Road East, Halesowen, was sent to prison for 20 weeks, suspended for 12 months, for assaulting a woman in Dudley on July 9. He was given an eight week curfew and for the duration must remain at his home address between 7pm and 7am. He must pay a victim surcharge of £115 and £135 court costs.

Karl Anthony Kent, aged 32, of Douglas Road, Oldbury, was fined £80 for being drunk and disorderly in Birmingham on July 1 and failing to surrender to custody at Birmingham Magistrates Court on July 17, having been released on bail. He must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £135 court costs.

Michael Clewley, aged 19, of Victoria Road, Quarry Bank, must pay £200 compensation after entering the Glass House College in Wordsley as a trespasser on May 27 and stealing cash, aftershave and e-cigarette liquid. He must pay £185 court costs.

Nathan Harrison, aged 31, of Bristnall Hall Road, Oldbury, was fined £340 for speeding on the M62 in Tarbock on April 2. He was disqualified from driving for six months and must pay a victim surcharge of £34 and £100 court costs.

Mark Daniel Coley, aged 29, of Dudley Road, Rowley Regis, was sent to prison for 26 weeks for assaulting a man and woman in Oldbury on June 9 and sending a threatening message that was grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character, while subject to a suspended sentence. He must pay compensation of £115.

Amandeep Tina Sehmbhy Porter, aged 45, of Himley Road, Dudley, was given a 12 week community order for assaulting a woman in Wolverhampton on June 23. She was given a 12 week curfew and for the duration must remain at her home address between 7pm and 6am. She must pay a victim surcharge of £85 and £600 court costs.

Mohammed Amin, aged 29, of Priory Road, Dudley, was given a 12 month community order for assaulting a police officer in Dudley on July 21. He must carry out 60 hours unpaid work and pay compensation of £50, a victim surcharge of £85 and £80 court costs.

Zoe Bending, aged 42, of St Giles Court, Rowley Regis, was given a 12 month community order for stealing items, worth at least £260, from shops in Rowley Regis between April 8 and May 15. She was also sentenced for failing to provide a non-intimate sample for the purpose of ascertaining whether she had class A drugs in her body in Oldbury on July 8. She must pay compensation of £430, a victim surcharge of £85 and £50 court costs.

Steven Langford, aged 57, of Cyprus Avenue, Gornal, was fined £500 for drink driving in Upper Gornal on July 21. When tested, he had 82mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was disqualified from driving for 20 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £50 and £135 court costs.
