AN Upper Gornal man has been handed a suspended jail term for stealing a bronze statue lamp worth £45.

Jason Gary Rubine, aged 30, of Jockey Fields, Upper Gornal, was also ordered to pay £50 compensation and £45 court costs for the same offence.

The defendant was also jailed for 12 weeks, suspended for 12 months, for entering a building as a trespasser with intent to steal.

He was jailed for eight weeks, suspended for 12 months, for stealing property from a shop.

The defendant was jailed for eight weeks, suspended for 12 months, for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear or produce violence.

He was also jailed for 12 weeks, suspended for 12 months, and ordered to pay £199 compensation for stealing a 15inch TV/DVD combination set worth £199.

The defendant was also handed the same punishment on a separate count of the same charge by Dudley Magistrates Court on Thursday November 22.

Also on Thursday November 22: Brent Cotterell, aged 28, of North Springfield, Sedgley, was banned from driving for six months, fined £140 and ordered to pay £60 court costs for failing to stop at a red traffic light.

Lee Kevin Probin, aged 22, of Fourwinds Road, Dudley, was handed a 12-month community order and ordered to pay £43 court costs for assault.

The defendant was also handed a 12-month community order, to run concurrently, and also ordered to pay £75 compensation for causing £75 worth of damage to a double glazed kitchen window.

He was also handed a 12-month community order, to run concurrently, for possession of class C' drug cannabis.

Stephen Howard Kerlew, aged 22, of Trysull Way, Netherton, was handed a 12-month community order, including 80 hours unpaid work in the community and ordered to pay £400 court costs for haing with him, without lawful authority, an imitation fire arm in a public place.

Dawn Anslow, aged 33, of Blackacre Road, Dudley, was jailed for eight weeks, suspended for 18 months, for failing to secure the regular attendance at school of a child to which she was responsible for.

The defendant was also jailed for eight weeks, suspended for 18 months, and ordered to pay £321.19 for committing a further offence whilst the subject of a conditional discharge.

Sharon Parfitt, aged 51, of Hammer Bank, Brierley Hill, was handed an 18-month community order and ordered to pay £321.19 costs for failing to secure the regular attendance at school of a child to which she was responsible for.

Darryl James Harper, aged 25, of Stirling Road, Dudley, was handed six licence points and fined £150 for driving without insurance.

Robert John Pardoe, aged 18, of Grosvenor Way, Brierley Hill, was handed six licence points and fined £250 for driving without insurance.

Matthew Rides, aged 31, of Nine Locks Ridge, Brierley Hill, was handed six licence and fined £250 for driving without insurance.

Amanda Louise Thompson, aged 37, of Shadwell Drive, Dudley, was handed six licence points and fined £250 for driving without insurance.

On Monday November 19: Sanjay Jain, aged 42, of Stourbridge Road, Dudley, was handed five licence points, fined £125 and ordered to pay £60 court costs for speeding.

John Raymond Paul Ward, aged 33, of Blowers Green Road, Dudley, was handed an 18-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £70 court costs for notifying the police of a requirement of the Sex Offenders Regsiter which was false.

The defendant was also fined £100 for, without lawful excuse, causing £100 worth of damage to a glass window of a door.

Nathan Derek Martin, aged 20, of Kennedy Crescent, Lower Gornal, was banned from driving for 12 months, fined £200, ordered to pay £70 court costs and £15 compensation for drink driving.

Aaron David Attwood, aged 19, of Fens Crescent, Brierley Hill, was handed a 12-month conditional discharge for stealing three MP3 players worth £100.

Dean Gavin Everall, aged 26, of Pine Green, Old Park Farm, Dudley, was banned from driving for 32 months, handed an 18-month community order and ordered to pay £87 court costs for drink driving.

Lee Thomas Glyptis, aged 20, of Stourbridge Road, Dudley, was sent to a young offenders institution for 24 weeks, suspended for 12 months, including 240 hours unpaid work in the community, for failing to comply with the requirements of a community order.

The defendant was also handed the same punishment twice as above, to run concurrently, on two further counts of the same charge.

The defendant was sent to a young offenders institution for eight weeks, suspended for 12 months, to run concurrently, for unlawfully damaging a car.

He was sent to a young offenders institution for eight weeks, to run concurrently, suspended for 12 weeks, for failing, without any reasonable excuse, to surrender to custody.

On Tuesday November 20: Stuart Higgins, aged 31, of Yew Tree Road, Netherton, was ordered to carry out 40 hours unpaid work in the community and pay £35 costs for failing to comply with the requirements of a suspended sentence order.

Mark Anthony Robinson, aged 29, of Birmingham Road, Dudley, was banned from driving for two years, ordered to pay £300 compensation, fined £200 and ordered to pay £100 court costs for driving without due care and attention.

The defendant was also ordered to pay £300 compensation and fined £200 for driving without insurance.

On Wednesday November 21: Matthew Lee Henley, aged 24, of Farm Road, Brierley Hill, had ten hours added to an existing community order and was ordered to pay £35 court costs for failing to comply with the requirements of a community order.

Laura Jane Illsley, aged 20, of Beacon Lane, Sedgley, was handed a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £87 court costs for drunk and disorderly behaviour in a public place.

On Friday November 23: Daniel Robin Bagley, aged 23, of Laurel Road, Dudley, was handed an 18-month community order and ordered to pay £70 court costs for using threatening abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause that other person to believe unlawful violence would be used against them.

Ryan Johnathan Warr, aged 21, of Pheasant Street, Brierley Hill, was handed an additional 20 hours unpaid work in the community and ordered to pay £35 costs for failing to comply with the requirements of a community order.

Paul Kevin Aston, aged 30, of Parkway Road, Dudley, was banned from driving for 16 months, fined £125 and ordered to pay £43 court costs and £15 compensation for drink driving.

Gavin Lee Smith, aged 26, of Horden Crescent, Brierley Hill, was handed an 18-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £43 court costs for possession of class A' drug heroin.
