ON February 6 this year the eyes of the football world will remember one tragedy and one man in particular.

The tragedy in question is the Munich Air Disaster and the man is Dudley's own Duncan Edwards.

Now the Dudley News needs YOU!

We want you to give us your memories of the great man, did you watch him, play alongside him on the Priory or were you one of his friends when he was growing up in the town.

The best will appear in a special tribute to Duncan 50 years on from his death in the Dudley News dated Thursday January 31.

Duncan Kid Dynamite' Edwards was one of the iconic Busby Babes', the young Manchester United side not yet in the prime of their careers.

The strong-as-an-ox midfielder also went on to wear the three lions of England 18 times before his career was callously cut short aged 21.

His funeral was held at St Francis' Church on February 26, 1958.

To send in your memories of Dudley's soccer legend write to Dudley news chief reporter Mark Stanford at Dudley News, St John's House, St John's Road, Stourbridge, DY8 1EH or title emails Duncan memories' and send them to: mark.stanford@midlands.newsquest.co.uk or call 01384 358263.
