Curfew slapped on drink-driver


A NETHERTON man has been handed a suspended jail term and banned for 12 months as part of a series of drink driving offences.

Ross Hogan, aged 27, of Gloucester Road, was also handed a three-month nightly curfew order for drink driving.

The defendant was also jailed for five months, suspended for 12 months, to run concurrently, and banned from driving for three years for drink driving.

Terry Milne, aged 36, of New Road, Dudley, was handed three licence points, fined £250, ordered to pay £60 court costs and £15 compensation for being the keeper of a vehicle involved in an alleged accident and failing to give information to identify the driver of the vehicle when required to by a police officer.

On Monday February 4: Paul Mills, aged 27, of Tipton Road, Sedgley, was handed a 12-month community order, including 80 hours unpaid work in the community, and ordered to pay £35 costs for failing to comply with the requirements of a community order.

Soud Hedu Rashid, aged 19, of Bourne Street, Dudley, was handed six licence points and fined £220 for driving without a licence.

The defendant was also fined £110 and ordered to pay £60 court costs and £15 compensation for driving without a licence and fined £110 for driving without an MOT.

Ian Anthony Shaw, aged 27, of Springfield Road, Brierley Hill, had his unpaid work in the community requirement extended from 100 hours to 125 hours and was ordered to pay £35 costs for failing to comply with the requirements of a community order.

Scott Martin Toogood, aged 18, of Terence Street, Brierley Hill, was fined £100 for possession of class A' drug cocaine.

The defendant was also ordered to pay £87, fined £50 and ordered to pay £15 compensation for possession of class C' drug cannabis.

He was also fined £100 for possession of class A' drug moma.

Sukhdev Singh Uppal, aged 70, of Victoria Road, Quarry Bank, Brierley Hill, was jailed for 12 weeks for persistently making use of an electronic communications network for the purpose of causing annoyance, inconvienence or needless anxiety to another.

On Wednesday February 6: Wojciech Edward Bielawy, aged 25, of Dingle Road, Dudley, was handed three licence points, fined £60 and ordered to pay £15 compensation for driving whilst using a mobile phone.

Simon Peter Hadlington, aged 25, of Brockmoor, Brierley Hill, was handed eight licence points and fined £250 for driving without insurance.

The defendant was fined £125 and ordered to pay £15 compensation for being the driver of a vehicle and failing to produce his licence for examination when required to by a police officer.

He was fined £125 and ordered to pay £60 court costs for driving without an MOT.

Mark Stanley Hayward, aged 47, of Fens Crescent, Pensnett, was handed eight licence points and fined £250 for driving without insurance.

Derrick Jones, aged 27, of Ivanhoe Street, Dudley, was handed three licence points, fined £375 and ordered to pay £60 court costs and £15 compensation for being the keeper of a vehicle involved in an alleged traffic offence and failed to give information to identify the driver when required to do so by a police officer.

Jean Kanmogne, aged 36, of Parkhill Street, Dudley, was handed three licence points, fined £60, ordered to pay £43 court costs and £15 compensation for being the driver of a vehicle when stopped on a pelican crossing.

Debbie Lynsey Pathak, aged 21, of Albert Street, Pensnett, was handed six licence points and fined £150 for driving without insurance.

The defendant was also fined £100 and ordered to pay £43 court costs and £15 compensation for driving without a licence.

Kevin Paul Tibbets, aged 54, of Park Road, Netherton, was handed three licence points, fined £60, ordered to pay £43 court costs and £15 compensation for speeding.

Trevor Anthony Blakeway, aged 45, of Bradford Road, Woodside, Dudley, was handed an 18-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £255 court costs for assault by beating.

On Thursday February 7: Daniel Crooks, aged 27, of Stratford Close, Milking Bank, was handed an 18-month community order and ordered to pay £200 compensation and £87 court costs for assault by beating.

Shaun Housecroft, aged 45, of Vicarage Prospect, Dudley, was handed three licence points, fined £45 and ordered to pay £15 compensation for speeding.

Dan Shi, aged 22, of Stone Street, Dudley, was banned from driving for 12 months and fined £500 for driving without insurance.

The defendant was fined £125 and ordered to pay £60 court costs and £15 compensation for driving without a licence and fined £125 for driving without an MOT.

Tremaine Williams, aged 36, of Merryfield Road, Russells Hall, was jailed for 12 weeks, suspended for 24 months, and ordered to pay £87 court costs for being in possession of two kitchen knives in a public place.

Carol Hickman, aged 40, of Adelaide Street, Brierley Hill, was handed an 18-month community order and ordered to pay £50 costs for failing to secure the regular attendence of her child at school.

Donna Marie Cooper, aged 34, of Norwich Road, Netherton, was ordered to pay £250 costs, fined £190 and £15 compensation for failing to secure the regular attendence of her child at school.

Michelle Williams, aged 37, of Uplands Road, Dudley, was ordered to pay £250 costs, fined £150 and £15 compensation for failing to secure the regular attendence of her child at school.

Geoffrey Gould, aged 51, of Evesham Rise, Netherton, was handed six licence points, fined £200 and ordered to pay £15 compensation for driving without insurance.

Stuart Grainger, aged 24, of Stourbridge Road, Holly Hall, was banned from driving for six months, fined £200 and ordered to pay £15 compensation for speeding.

Daniel Rollinson, aged 20, of Hillside Road, Wrens Nest, was banned from driving for six months, fined £75 and ordered to pay £15 compensation for driving without insurance.

The defendant was also fined £25 for failing to comply with the indication of a no entry sign.

On Friday February 8: James Francis Lee, aged 63, of Griffin Street, Netherton, was jailed for 20 weeks, suspended for two years, for driving whilst disqualified.

The defendant was also handed eight licence points and ordered to pay £70 court costs for driving without insurance.

James Nathan Rose, aged 18, of Norwood Road, Brierley Hill, was fined £80 and ordered to pay £43 court costs and £15 compensation for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress.

Christopher Shaw, aged 26, of Goldthorn Walk, Brierley Hill, was handed six licence points and fined £200 for driving without insurance.

The defendant was also fined £50 and ordered to pay £15 compensation for driving without a licence and fined £25 for driving without an MOT.

Mark Alan Shinton, aged 19, of Springfield Green, Sedgley, was banned from driving for six months and fined £200 for driving without insurance.

Cyril Ernest Wood, aged 61, of Bluebell Road, Priory, was banned from driving for six months and fined £200 for driving without insurance.

Christopher Robert Paul Nock, aged 20, of Halesowen Road, Netherton, was jailed for 20 weeks, suspended for two years, for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause violence.

The defendant was also jailed for 20 weeks, suspended for two years, and ordered to pay £100 compensation and £70 court costs for assaulting a police officer.

He was also handed the same punishment as above on a separate count of the same charge.

Hazar Mohammed Ahmed, aged 25, of Himley Street, Dudley, was jailed for 14 days for failing to comply with the requirements of a suspended sentence order.
